Lighthouse Loop 2026

Experience the serene beauty of Lake Michigan at the Lighthouse Loop Open Water Swim. This unique 2.3-mile journey begins at Red Arrow Park, where you'll be greeted by the historic lighthouse marking the mouth of the Menominee River. As swimmers traverse the lake, they are surrounded by breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere. The course loops back to your starting point, offering a perfect blend of challenge and scenic beauty.
Participants must wear a wetsuit for their safety; however, medical waivers can be arranged if necessary—7 days in advance with officials' approval. This event is open to swimmers aged 14 and older, though parental consent is required for those under 18. The swim kicks off at 8:00 AM, with heats starting every 15 minutes based on weather conditions.
For the younger set, Little Lighthouse provides a fun and safe introduction to open water swimming. This event caters to kids aged 13 and under who are confident swimmers without assistance. The course is a short but engaging 100 yards parallel to shore, ensuring participants can touch down if needed. Registration for this family-friendly event will be available on-site at minimal cost.
