The second round of the Lincolnshire Cyclo-Cross Association's 2026/27 season invites cyclists from around the world to join its ranks. Registration is open to anyone with a RiderHQ account, making it easy for both local and international riders to participate in this exciting event. Entry opens six weeks before race day, giving participants ample time to prepare for what promises to be an exhilarating experience on September 27, 2026. The day features races across various age groups and skill levels, catering to everyone from novice cyclists to seasoned competitors. For those new to cyclo-cross or hesitant about diving into the sport, there's a special Novice Race designed specifically for beginners aged 12 and above. This race offers an opportunity to experience the thrill of cyclocross without pressure; participants can use any off-road bike (cyclocross, gravel, mountain) but must leave balance bikes and unicycles at home. The novice event runs for 30 minutes and starts two minutes after the Youth U14/U16 race. The day's schedule is packed with races starting from early morning to late afternoon: - Youth Races: - U9 (ages 8-9): A short, invigorating 10-12 minute sprint. - U12 (ages 10-12): An extended race for young riders aged 10 to 12 years old. - Open Races: - Juniors, Seniors & Masters: A challenging 50-minute course awaits all adult competitors.
For female participants: - The Female Juniors, Seniors & Masters race offers the same competitive distance as their male counterparts at a length of 50 minutes. Each category is designed to provide an inclusive and supportive environment where cyclists can enhance their skills under expert guidance. Officials are on hand throughout the day offering assistance and feedback for all racers, particularly in the Novice Race segment, ensuring that newcomers feel welcomed and encouraged as they navigate this dynamic discipline.
