The Lincolnshire Cyclo-Cross Association is set to host Round 4 of its 2026/27 season on October 25, 2026. This round welcomes riders from all corners of the globe and offers a unique opportunity for both seasoned competitors and newcomers alike. For those looking to dip their toes into cyclo-cross racing without the pressure, the Novice category is specifically designed for individuals with no prior race experience in this discipline. Open to anyone aged 12 or older, participants can use any off-road bike—cyclocross, gravel, mountain—as long as it’s not a balance bike or unicycle. The novice race starts at 10:17 AM and lasts for 30 minutes. Riders will have the support of officials on hand to provide guidance and feedback throughout the event. This relaxed environment is aimed at fostering learning and enjoyment rather than competition, with no podiums, prizes, or pressure involved. After completing up to five novice races, riders who show a natural talent or enjoy the experience can transition into age-specific categories. The full race day includes various other events such as youth races for U9 and U12 competitors at 11:00 AM and 11:20 AM respectively, followed by an open category for juniors, seniors, and masters starting at noon. The female division of the same age groups follows immediately after. Registration opens six weeks prior to the event date and is accessible to all riders through a RiderHQ account where they can apply for membership with the Lincolnshire Cyclo-Cross Association. This inclusive approach ensures that anyone interested in cyclocross has an opportunity to participate, learn, and grow within this exciting community of cyclists.
