The Lincolnshire Cyclo-Cross Association is set to host Round 4 of its 2026/27 season on October 25, 2026. For those who are new to the sport or simply curious about what it entails, the Novice Race is an ideal entry point. Open to anyone aged 12 years and older with no prior race experience in cyclo-cross, this category allows both adults and children to compete together on a level playing field. Participants can use any off-road bike—cyclocross, gravel, mountain—as long as it's not a balance bike or unicycle. The novice race starts 2 minutes after the youth races (U14/U16) at 10:17 AM and runs for 30 minutes. This relaxed environment is designed to foster learning through fun with officials on hand to provide support, guidance, and feedback throughout the event. Riders who enjoy this experience can choose to progress into more competitive categories in future races if they feel ready. The day's events kick off at 10:15 AM with a youth race for U14/U16 riders lasting 30 minutes, followed by an exciting novice race starting at 10:17 AM. Additional junior and senior classes will follow throughout the morning and early afternoon, culminating in open races for juniors, seniors, and masters at 12:30 PM and a female-specific category immediately after. Whether you're looking to test your skills on challenging terrain or simply enjoy cycling in a friendly community setting, Round 4 promises to be an unforgettable day for all participants.
