Long Course Weekend Belgium is an exhilarating three-day sports festival that caters to athletes of all levels. Whether you prefer swimming, cycling, or running, this event offers a variety of distances across each discipline, allowing participants to customize their weekend experience based on personal goals and abilities.
The pinnacle of the festival is the Long Course option, designed for those seeking to challenge themselves with extended distances in every event. Completing all three long courses will earn athletes an exclusive fourth medal to add to their collection, symbolizing their dedication and achievement.
On Friday, participants can dive into the Nieuwpoort waters for either a 1.9-kilometer or a 3.8-kilometer swim. The following day brings cyclists through Flanders Fields with routes ranging from 45 kilometers to an epic 180 kilometers. Finally, on Sunday, runners take center stage in the picturesque coastal town of Nieuwpoort for races that include a 5K, 10K, half marathon, and full marathon.
This event not only tests athletic limits but also immerses participants in Belgium's rich history and stunning landscapes, making it an unforgettable experience for athletes and spectators alike.
