LONGVIEW 5K POSTPONED TO FEBRUARY 28TH
Due to incoming inclement weather expected to impact East Texas and much of the entire State of Texas, the Longview 5K originally scheduled for January 24th has been officially postponed to Saturday, February 28th.
This decision was made in coordination with the City of Longview and Longview ISD’s Transportation Department with one priority in mind: the safety of our runners, volunteers, staff, and community.
If you can still attend the race on February 28th, no further action is needed on your part. We have your registration and you're all set to race!
If you are unable to attend on the new date, your registration may be transferred to next year's race or any of our 60+ events across Texas and the USA. Email info@texasoutlawrunning.com to transfer your registration to 2027.

EVENT OVERVIEW
The Longview 5K is part of the City of Longview’s Healthy Initiative and is organized by Texas Outlaw Running Company, organizers of more than 100 professional events serving thousands of runners nationwide.
This race features a point-to-point paved 5K course featuring local neighborhood roads and the city's Boorman Trail.
This isn’t your ordinary 5K. It’s a point-to-point race where runners park at the finish line, then are shuttled via bus to the start. From there, you’ll run the full, exact 5K course back to the finish line where you parked. The race is chip-timed, packed with great swag, features multiple award categories, cash prizes, policed roads, a party atmosphere, and ends with vendors and food trucks waiting at the finish line.
This event is designed to bring the community together and inspire a healthier, more active lifestyle.
Come join the party and run or walk the Longview 5K!

Longview is a city in the Piney Woods region of Texas. At one time a major headquarters of the vast East Texas Oil Field, petroleum remains a large part of the city's economy. Founded in 1871, the city earned its name when surveyors for the Southern Pacific Railroad noted what a "long view" they could see from a hill near the center of the new town. Longview is now home to more than 75,000 residents and has grown to be an important center of commerce and industry for the Piney Woods region of Texas.
