Running enthusiasts are invited back for another exhilarating year at this indoor ultra marathon event. Offering three distinct challenges — 3, 6, and 12 hours of racing — the weekend promises an unforgettable experience for runners seeking to push their limits. The flagship 12-hour race commences on Saturday, November 28, 2026, at 7 a.m., followed by the 6-hour event starting at 9 a.m. and the shorter but intense 3-hour race kicking off at 11 a.m. Competitors will have their distances determined not just through traditional lap counts, but with an innovative method: placing marbles into a tin for each completed loop around the track. This self-supported race requires runners to manage all of their needs independently throughout the event. While there are no official aid stations on-site, two accessible fountains provide water refills and clean change rooms and washrooms ensure comfort during breaks. Any food must be consumed outside the running area; however, a designated support crew area adjacent to the venue's food court offers easy access for runners to grab snacks or meals. Participants will enjoy a dedicated rest space complete with chairs placed conveniently near the track perimeter, minimizing unnecessary walking distances between the race and resting areas. At the conclusion of each event, all marbles collected by racers are pooled into one bin. Spectators and participants alike can then take part in an exciting guessing game to estimate the total number of marbles; those closest to the actual count will be awarded prizes generously donated for this occasion. To commemorate their efforts, every runner receives a special participation item upon finishing. Additionally, any cash contributions made on race day go directly toward supporting the CMHA Regina Branch. Specific prize details and distribution schedules will be announced closer to the event date as organizers finalize arrangements. Join us in celebrating endurance, innovation, and community spirit at this unique indoor ultra marathon experience!
