Lost Souls Trail Run

This event has been an annual tradition since its inception in 2018, drawing participants from across Texas to experience the scenic trails of Rocky Hill Ranch. Each year sees around five hundred runners participating across all distances, with proceeds supporting local environmental conservation efforts aimed at preserving the unique Lost Pines ecosystem.
The course winds through rocky terrain and dense pine forests, making use of well-marked trails on Rocky Hill Ranch. Aid stations are strategically placed along each loop to provide hydration and nutrition for participants during their run. The start line is located directly in front of the ranch’s main gate at 578 FM 153.
Weather conditions on race day typically feature an average temperature around 24.5°C, with a minimum expected low of approximately 18.4°C and a maximum high reaching up to about 30.5°C. Humidity levels are usually moderate, averaging at 59%, while the UV index sits comfortably in the "moderate" category.
The Lost Souls Trail Run offers four distinct distance options for runners: the challenging 50k race starting early morning, a mid-length 25k event, and shorter but still rigorous 10K and 5K races. All participants receive custom medals or buckles as well as a choice of swag items upon registration.
Registration can be completed online at https://ultrasignup.com/register.aspx?did=137156 with fees ranging from $60 for the 5k to $100 for the full 50k distance. Packet pickup takes place between 6:00 AM and 8:30 AM on race day at the start/finish area.
Runners should plan to arrive early, as bibs can be picked up during packet collection hours with valid identification provided. The event is open to runners aged 14 years or older who must show proof of age upon registration or check-in if under eighteen. All participants are advised to wear appropriate running gear suitable for trail conditions and variable weather.
