About the Event

This event is held in loving memory and honor of my mother, Sebrenia Russaw, who was tragically lost due to domestic violence murder-suicide. Through this walk/run, we continue her legacy by creating a space of hope, healing, strength, and awareness.We walk and run to honor survivors of domestic violence and their loved ones — the families, friends, and communities who have been impacted by their journeys. We recognize their courage, resilience, and strength.

About Augusta

Augusta is a city in Georgia's Classic Heartland. Due to its location inland on the Savannah River, Augusta was a city of major strategic importance by the end of the Civil War. It was spared most of the destruction of many other southern cities, so there are many old buildings and landmarks. Augusta is also home to the Augusta National Golf Club, one of the world's most prestigious and exclusive golf clubs, which plays host to the Masters golf tournament.
