Love on the Run 5K

Babcock Ranch is excited to announce our inaugural Love on the Run 5K Run/Walk. The Love on the Run 5K Run/Walk at Babcock Ranch is a perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day, combining a scenic course with a fun, festive atmosphere.

The shirt cutoff date is February 5, 2026. Shirts ARE NOT guaranteed after this date.

EARLY PACKET PICKUP: Thursday, February 12th, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, February 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
PICKUP LOCATION: Babcock Ranch Lifestyle Office, 42911 Lake Babcock Drive, Punta Gorda, FL 33982.

RACE DAY PARKING: Free ample parking is available near the starting area.
RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP:  6:45 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. at Bluebird Park, 16050 Babcock Trail, Punta Gorda, FL  33982
RACE DAY REGISTRATION:  6:45 a.m. to 7:45 a.m., cost is $40.00.  
RACE START TIME: 8:00 a.m. 

Post-race snacks and awards will be provided. Bathrooms and Water Stations will be located at the start and finish areas, and the water stop will also be at the halfway mark.  

Awards:

Age group awards are based on off-chip time.
There will be overall awards and finisher medals.

Actual Awards:
1st Place Overall Awards: Male & Female.
1st Place Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Masters: Male & Female
In-person awards to the top three M/F in the following age groups:9 and Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+.

A: Yes, the 5K is chip-timed by Beach Bum Timing.
Q: Is there an Untimed fun run?
A: Yes, the untimed fun run will start with the timed 5K..
Q: What is the course surface like?
A: The course is paved roads and sidewalks.
Q: Are dogs allowed on the course? 
A: You may run with your dog, but you assume ALL responsibility for your dog. Your pet must be leashed at all times and up to date on vaccinations. Please pick up after your pooch. Participants with dogs will start at the back of the race. 
Q: Are strollers allowed on the course? Course map coming soon.
A: Yes. Participants with strollers must start at the back of the race. 
Q: Is the course good for spectators? 
A: Yes.
