MAC Triathlon

The MAC Triathlon will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, starting at 8:00 AM CDT at the Mitchell Aquatic Center (1201 East Hanson Avenue) in Mitchell, South Dakota, USA. This sprint triathlon consists of a 500 m wave swim at the Mitchell Aquatic Center, a 14 mile bike ride around the east side of Mitchell, and a 5 km run around scenic areas near Hitchcock Park. The transition area is open on race day from 6:45 AM to 7:45 AM; after closing, re‑entry is not permitted.

All participants must follow event regulations or be subject to disqualification: swim cap is mandatory (bring your own; some available for purchase at the event); timing chip must be firmly strapped to the ankle during the entire event; a helmet is required during the bike route; headphones and musical devices are not permitted at any time; race numbers must be visible at all times (bib numbers facing forward at the finish line; helmet number on the front of helmet; bike number on the crossbar or under the seat facing sideways).

• Packet pickup: Friday, June 5, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at Anytime Fitness in Mitchell. Very limited packet pickup is available on race day from 6:45 AM to 7:15 AM at the transition area. Participants are strongly encouraged to pick up packets the night before.
