Experience the thrill of Manchester Triathlon Club's Tuesday evening Aquathlons, returning for another exciting season in 2026. These events take place at the picturesque Trafford Water Sports Centre and Sale Water Park, offering runners and swimmers a unique blend of aquatic and terrestrial challenges.
The race venue boasts an excellent setup with a 16-lane pool for swimming and well-maintained running paths around Sale Water Park. Adults compete in an 800-meter swim followed by a 5-kilometer run, while juniors tackle half the distance: 400 meters in water and 2.5 kilometers on land.
With start times set at 6:30 PM for adults and 6:45 PM for junior participants, these races provide an ideal mid-week workout that combines fitness with fun. The event series is designed to accommodate both casual athletes looking for a weekly challenge and serious competitors aiming to improve their performance over the course of five consecutive weeks.
Registration opens at 5:45 PM sharp, giving you ample time to sign up before your race begins. Participants can pay £25 per individual event or opt for the discounted series package priced at £80 for adults, while juniors and youths have options starting from £12.50 per race with a bundled price of £40 for all five races.
Don't forget to bring along any necessary documentation if you're an existing British Triathlon member; otherwise, be prepared to purchase a Race Pass at the venue. Parking is conveniently available near the boathouse restaurant or just minutes away from Sale Water Park Metrolink station.
