Experience the vibrant energy of the "City of Ingres" at the 18th Edition of the Marathon de Montauban, taking place on March 28 & 29, 2026. This landmark year marks a significant milestone as the event expands its capacity to 5,000 runners, solidifying its status as a premier fixture on the French national racing calendar. Set in a city officially recognized as an "Active and Sporting City," the Marathon de Montauban offers a high-octane atmosphere where historic architecture meets modern athletic performance.
The 2026 course remains true to its reputation for speed: a 100% urban circuit consisting of two loops with virtually no elevation gain. Starting and finishing at the iconic Cours Foucault, the route is designed for performance, making it the perfect stage to hunt for a personal best. The Sunday program features four flagship races: the Full Marathon (42.195 km), the Semi-Marathon (21 km), and a 10 km Road Race—all boasting the prestigious FFA label. For those who prefer a team effort, the 4-Person Marathon Relay offers a shared journey through the city’s historic heart.
Inclusivity and solidarity are the soul of the Montauban experience. For 2026, €1 from every registration will be donated to the Philia Association, supporting children with disabilities and families in difficulty. Beyond the running lanes, the weekend features the Teen Tour and T’es pas Cap Tour for younger athletes on Saturday, while Sunday morning offers two distinct walking experiences: a Nature Walk for the active and a Heritage Walk led by expert guides to explore the city’s architectural secrets. Registration opens on December 8, 2025—secure your spot in the expanded field of 5,000 and run for a cause in one of France’s most scenic urban landscapes.
