Maratón Internacional Elche - Alicante

Club Atlético Montemar is set to host its first-ever marathon connecting Elche and Alicante, two vibrant cities along Spain's eastern coast. The race begins at the historic Altamira Palace in Elche before winding through picturesque landscapes en route to a finish line on pier 12 of the Port of Alicante.
Elche, often referred to as "the City of the Lady," is steeped in history and cultural richness. With over 40 attractions to explore, visitors can delve into its heritage at UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Europe's largest palm grove, the Misteri d'Elx, a medieval passion play, and the Puçol Educational Project and Museum. The city offers an array of experiences for all types of travelers: couples, friends, solo adventurers, or families.
Alicante, known globally as part of the "Costa Blanca," is renowned for its Mediterranean charm and ideal climate. Situated on Spain's east coast, it enjoys over 3000 hours of sunshine annually with mild winters and warm summers.
