Marauder Miles 5K

Join us at the inaugural Marauder Miles 5K Run/Walk, where every step you take contributes directly to empowering future leaders through education. Hosted by Midwest Legacy Marauders Co., this community-driven event aims to support local high school students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the Midwest.
Fueling HBCU Dreams: All proceeds from the race will be used to provide scholarship funds for deserving high school seniors, helping them achieve their educational goals at prestigious institutions. By participating in or supporting this event, you are making a tangible difference in students' lives, ensuring they have access to higher education opportunities and resources.
Strengthening Our Community: This 5K is more than just a race; it's an opportunity for the community to come together, fostering a sense of unity through physical activity. Whether you're a seasoned runner or a casual walker, everyone has a role in promoting health and wellness within our neighborhoods.
Event Details:
Registration opens with early bird rates offering both shirts and medals until a date yet to be determined at $35 per person. Standard registration remains open up to October 1st for $45 (shirts included if registered by then). Participants must adhere to the race pace requirement of maintaining a minimum speed of one mile every twenty minutes.
The event day will kick off with packet pick-up from 6:30 AM, followed by stretching and warm-ups until 8 AM. The race begins promptly at 8:30 AM. Results are updated in real-time via Key Sports' website or the ITS YOUR RACE app as participants cross the finish line.
Please note that due to unpredictable weather conditions in Ohio, we reserve the right to reschedule or convert this event into a virtual run if necessary for safety reasons such as thunderstorms, lightning strikes, icy roads, extreme temperatures, or other unforeseen circumstances. In these cases, race items will not be refunded but may still be available at a later pickup date.
Transfers of registration are allowed up until September 9th to accommodate any changes in personal schedules. However, there is no refund policy for this event under any circumstances.
