About the Event

In October 2026, as part of the global campaign for breast cancer awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the city of Ouistreham Riva-Bella collaborates with Colleville-Montgomery, Saint-Aubin d’Arquenay, and Hermanville-sur-Mer to host a walk-run event on Sunday, October 4. Participants can choose between walking or running, making this inclusive for all fitness levels.
The day kicks off at the G. Legoupil hall located on Avenue du Général Leclerc in Ouistreham Riva-Bella with a warm-up session starting from 9:00 AM and the race commencing promptly at 9:30 AM. Three distinct routes cater to various preferences—6 km for walkers, 10 km also for those who prefer walking, and a challenging 9 km run.
This event is free of charge but encourages participants to contribute donations on the day itself. All funds collected will support the local departmental committee of the Ligue contre le cancer, ensuring that every step taken supports an important cause.
The atmosphere at Ouistreham Riva-Bella promises to be inspiring and supportive as runners and walkers unite for a common goal. The scenic route through this charming coastal town offers breathtaking views along its way, enhancing the overall experience.
