Marine Memorial 5K

The Marine Memorial 5K returns to Arvada, Colorado on September 19th, honoring all Marines for all time at the United States Marine Corps Memorial dedicated "to all Marines for all time" and supporting those who serve.
Race morning finds participants gathering in the parking lot of Colorado Tap House located at 14982 W 69th Ave. The atmosphere is one of solemnity and reflection, as runners prepare to embark on a simple yet meaningful journey through Arvada’s well-marked trails. This year's route will see walkers and kids participate alongside seasoned athletes, crossing streets with the assistance of friendly guards along the way.
The Marine Memorial 5K has been running for several years now, raising funds that help maintain flags, lights at the memorial site, ensuring a lasting honor to all who serve. Over 100 participants are expected this year, making it an event where community spirit and support truly shine through.
This is a straightforward 5K race on firm but slightly soft terrain, marked clearly with no major obstacles. The course will see runners cross several streets under the guidance of volunteers ensuring safety at intersections. Along the route, there are no aid stations provided; however, veterans will be on hand to offer encouragement as participants complete their journey.
