Marriott's Way Marathon and Half Marathon

The Marriott's Way Marathon and Half Marathon returns for its third year, offering runners an opportunity to support the East Anglian Air Ambulance while enjoying picturesque routes along Norfolk’s scenic Marriott's Way. The full marathon begins at Norwich, tracing a largely traffic-free path that winds through charming landscapes before finishing in Aylsham Friendship Hall. Meanwhile, the half marathon starts at Whitwell and Reepham Station, providing runners with an equally serene course that culminates at the same finish line.
Both events welcome participants of all abilities, whether you're running or walking. Generous time allowances ensure everyone has a comfortable pace to complete their chosen distance. Although the courses have not been officially measured by a UKA-approved measurer, they are designed for ease and enjoyment, with clear signage along the way.
Entry fees start at £46 for UK Athletics members participating in the full marathon and increase slightly for non-members. Half-marathon entries range from £36 to £38 based on membership status. Additionally, a coach transport service is available for an extra £12 per person, making it convenient for participants who might need assistance getting to the start.
Race day begins early with bus departures from Aylsham Market Place at 08:00 AM for marathoners and 09:00 AM for half-marathon runners. Marathon registration opens between 7:30 and 8:30 AM at St Luke’s Church Centre, while the half marathon's sign-up takes place at Whitwell and Reepham Station from 8:30 to 10:00 AM.
Competitors in both races will be greeted with water stations, snacks, and medical support along their routes. Upon crossing the finish line at Aylsham Friendship Hall, participants can look forward to hot drinks and additional refreshments while collecting a unique medal celebrating their achievement.
Top male and female runners in each race will receive prizes for their efforts, adding an extra layer of excitement to the competition. With limited spots available—400 total entries—the event is sure to fill up quickly, so early registration is recommended.
