This trail-running extravaganza offers two distances: a challenging 50k ultra run, and a more approachable 25k trek. Both courses wind through rugged terrain with river crossings, steep climbs, and scenic overlooks that will leave you breathless.
The course is predominantly single track trails, punctuated by rolling hills and technical sections where the going gets rocky but also includes smooth stretches perfect for picking up speed. The elevation gain on both routes totals over 2000 feet, with two mandatory out-and-back segments designed to test your endurance and determination. Each loop of the course features stunning views from Valley Overlook, a must-see highlight that rewards runners with breathtaking vistas.
Aid stations are strategically placed at regular intervals throughout the race route, offering Tailwind hydration mix along with water and real food options—both sweet and savory—to keep you fueled for every step ahead. For those tackling the 50k distance, completing two loops with wrist bands picked up at each Valley Overlook climb is mandatory to officially finish.
Upon crossing the line, runners will be greeted by a lively after-party featuring an array of craft beers and delicious BBQ fare under large pavilions in the park. The event aims to foster camaraderie among participants while celebrating your hard-earned achievements with friends or family who join you at the venue.
Parking is available on-site but limited; carpooling is strongly encouraged to ensure everyone has a spot close by. Start times are set for 7am sharp for the ultra distance and 9am for those embarking on the shorter journey, allowing ample time to gear up before hitting the trails.
