The Memphis Thunder Racing Kids Triathlon returns on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 10:00 am in Collierville, Tennessee. This annual event celebrates the spirit of triathlon through a unique and engaging experience for young athletes aged 6 to 17.
Compton Aquatic Center, situated at St. George’s Independent School's Collierville Campus (1880 Wolf River Blvd.), hosts this exciting competition. Two distinct distances cater to different age groups:
For juniors between the ages of 6 and 10:
- Swim: 100 yards
- Bike: 5 km
- Run: 1 km
And for seniors aged 11 to 17:
- Swim: 200 yards
- Bike: 10 km
- Run: 2 km
Participants can choose to race individually or team up with two others in a relay format, fostering camaraderie and teamwork. The event promises a memorable experience for all involved, with the joyous smiles of young athletes crossing the finish line captured as highlights.
After the races, families are invited to enjoy the Post Race Party, celebrating the achievements and fun of the day together. This community-driven triathlon not only promotes physical fitness but also instills values like perseverance and sportsmanship in its young participants.
