About the Event

Join the Merced Running Club for an exciting edition of the annual Merced Turkey Trot on Saturday, November 21, 2026, set to take place around picturesque Lake Yosemite near UC Merced. This beloved tradition offers a variety of races suitable for runners and walkers alike.
The event features three race categories: a Kids 1K designed specifically for young participants aged ten and under; a 2-mile run/walk that welcomes all skill levels; and a challenging 5-mile run through scenic trails around the lake. All timed events will utilize chip timing provided by On Your Mark Events, ensuring accurate results.
Participants in the Kid's 1K race can look forward to receiving a finisher medal upon completion of their course at 10:15 am. Meanwhile, adults racing in either the 2-mile or 5-mile events will receive custom commemorative medals for completing their respective distances, starting promptly at 10:30 am.
In addition to competitive races, this year’s event includes a special toy drive initiative where runners can bring a new unwrapped toy and exchange it for a raffle ticket. Prizes will be awarded after the race in support of Toys for Tots, Merced County Chapter.
Race day registration opens at 9:00 am with check-in available until all races have commenced. Early bird pricing is offered to those who register by November 7th; however, fees increase on race day and there are no refunds or exchanges once the event has begun.
Don't miss out on this festive occasion filled with family-friendly activities and a chance to support a worthy cause while enjoying beautiful Merced scenery. See you at Lake Yosemite for an unforgettable running experience!
