Meredith Mikes Catfish Crawl 10K Trail & 5K Road

Immerse yourself in the scenic beauty of Lake Meredith for the inaugural Meredith Mike's Catfish Crawl, set to captivate runners with its unique blend of road and trail races. This year’s edition features two challenging courses: a 5K on smooth asphalt roads and a more rugged 10K along picturesque shoreline trails.
The event kicks off at Harbor Bay, a serene multi-use recreation area located just outside Fritch, Texas. Participants can expect breathtaking views as they navigate the rolling hills and winding paths that hug Lake Meredith’s southeastern shore. The race day festivities begin early with packet pick-up from 7:00 am to 7:45 am on September 5th, followed by a prompt start at 8:00 am.
Early registrants can secure their spot for just $30 until Wednesday, September 2nd. For those who wait until the last minute, registration will be available Thursday and Friday at Harbor Bay before race day but costs an additional $10 per entry. Youth runners (age 19 and under) enjoy a discounted rate of $20.
Race day also offers free camping for tents and small-to-medium RVs on a first-come, first-served basis. Campers will have access to vault-evaporator toilets, picnic tables, shade shelters, and grills but should bring their own drinking water and utilities as none are provided at the site.
Awards will be given out in various categories including overall male and female winners for both races, along with master’s awards (over 50) and age group accolades. Timing services are courtesy of It's About Timing to ensure accurate results.
Join us not just for a race but an entire weekend celebration that includes packet pick-up options at local Get Fit locations in Amarillo on Thursday and Friday evenings before the event, as well as additional pub runs leading up to race day.
Proceeds from this year’s Catfish Crawl will benefit both the Fritch Fire Department and support athletic programs at Fritch High School.
