The MHB Overbetuweloop takes place on Sunday, October 11, 2026, in Elst, Gelderland. This race features two distances: a 5-kilometer and a 10-kilometer run along a fast and flat certified course. Participants start the event in the heart of Elst, with the shorter distance taking runners through picturesque countryside surrounding the town. The longer route covers the same scenic landscape twice for a total of 20 kilometers. This year marks Elst's 1300th anniversary celebration, adding an extra layer to the race experience. In addition to the adult races, there is a special youth event called TienerRun, designed specifically for young athletes aged between 11 and 16 years old. The TienerRun covers a distance of 1300 meters, offering younger competitors a chance to participate in this historic milestone alongside their older counterparts. The KidsRun offers two distances: 400 meters for children ages 4 to 7 and 800 meters for those aged 8 to 12. Parents can join the shorter distance with their child at no additional cost, though only the child needs to register officially. For safety reasons, parents running alongside their young participants should not wear race numbers. Registration fees vary depending on the event: - AH Driessen KidsRun (400 or 800 meters): €5 including a medal. - MHB Overbetuweloop (5 km and Rabobank 10 km): €13 excluding a medal. - TienerRun: €5, also without a medal.
