Shropshire Summer Series: Briedden Inn Challenge
Join us on Wednesday, August 29th at 7:30 PM for the penultimate installment of the Outdoor Depot Shropshire Summer Series. This thrilling race offers a challenging yet rewarding experience through some of Shropshire's most rugged terrain.
Registration takes place at Briedden Inn (SY21 8EL) and closes promptly at 7:10 PM, followed by a short walk to the start line. The main event is open to runners aged U16 and above, while juniors have their own race starting earlier at 6:50 PM.
Prepare for an intense course that spans just over two miles (3.1 km), but don’t let its length fool you—this route packs in relentless climbs and descents with no flat stretches to offer respite. The ground is uneven, loose, and often off-camber, presenting a true test of skill as runners navigate through bramble, bracken, blackthorn, and other challenging vegetation.
Participants should expect an exhilarating yet demanding race that adheres strictly to WFRA rules. This event promises not only a memorable athletic challenge but also the chance to soak in the natural beauty of Shropshire's countryside as you push your limits on this unique course. No dogs are allowed for safety reasons.
