About the Event

MoCo Dems 5K Fall Fun Run is an event organized by the MD District 15 Democratic Caucus in Montgomery County, Maryland. This is a 5K (3.1mile) run/walk event for adults and youth to be held at the Agricultural History Farm Park in Derwood, MD. This outdoor, fun and healthy gathering is to promote community engagement and voter participation in Montgomery County and our beautiful State of Maryland. Come on out, enjoy some great music by Bach to Rock DJs and have fun at the FunRun, where you can meet your Maryland elected officials and candidates for office! Our own Maryland Lt. Gov. Aruna Miller will lead the pre-race Pep Rally! Stretch Labs: Gaithersburg will lead the morning stretch! Don't miss out. Register to run or walk today! All athletic levels are welcome.

ARRIVE AT 8:00 AM FOR THE PEP RALLY WITH LT. GOV. ARUNA MILLER AND MORNING STRETCH! THE HORN WILL BLOW TO START THE RACE PROMPTLY AT 9!

All registered race participants will receive a race timing bib, race t-shirt (while supplies last - the guaranteed t-shirt deadline is 10/5/25), and race packet. See you at the race!

Derwood is an unincorporated area and census-designated place in east-central Montgomery County, Maryland, United States. It lies just north of Rockville, southeast of Gaithersburg, southwest of Olney, and northwest of the greater Silver Spring area. Derwood was originally "Deer Park" and was then "Deer Wood" before getting its current name.
