Mon Marathon Handisolitdaire

About the Event

From August 15 to September 26, 2026, embark on an inclusive and solidarity-driven challenge that invites everyone to walk, run, cycle, swim, or roll their way through 42 kilometers over the course of 42 days. This virtual marathon aims to raise awareness about medical uncertainty, visible and invisible disabilities, as well as barriers to sports, culture, and social life.
Participants can choose any activity they prefer—whether in a wheelchair, on foot, by bike, or even swimming—and complete their distance at their own pace, alone, with family, friends, or club members. The 42-kilometer goal is symbolic; if it seems too ambitious, participants are encouraged to contribute as much as possible within their limits. Every kilometer counts and helps grow the collective tally.
Inspired by a personal journey marked by years of medical uncertainty, loss of autonomy, and unseen obstacles, this marathon seeks to highlight these realities through physical movement. The initiative is open to all ages, skill levels, and types of disabilities, emphasizing that progress can be made step-by-step regardless of individual constraints or circumstances.
To join the challenge, simply register for free on the event's platform. Participants will then log their kilometers as they complete them at a pace comfortable for them. In recognition of this effort, each participant receives an exclusive digital bib numbered 42—a symbol of collective engagement—via email upon registration. Additionally, there is an option to personalize your own manual bib with any number you choose.
The event encourages participants to share their progress and experiences on social media using the hashtag #MesKmHSD, fostering a community spirit that inspires others to join in the cause. At the end of the challenge period, all who have contributed will receive a digital certificate via email as recognition for their efforts.
Safety is paramount; each participant must ensure they are fit to undertake their chosen activity and adhere strictly to relevant safety guidelines both within their discipline and at any location where the challenges take place. Parents or legal guardians must give permission for minors participating in the event, and organizers cannot be held responsible for accidents, health issues, losses, thefts, or other damages that may occur during participation.
This initiative is supported by various organizations including Aventure Hustive ITESOFT Laboratoires Pierre Fabre Coureurs Ordinaires and the Departmental Handisport Committee of Champagne-Aube. Their backing underscores a commitment to inclusivity and support for those facing unique challenges in their pursuit of physical activity.
This event offers an opportunity not only to challenge oneself but also to contribute positively towards raising awareness about significant social issues through collective effort and personal achievement.
