About the Event

Experience the thrill of racing at Solitude Mountain during the Monster Energy Pro Downhill Series. Set for July 15th to 19th, 2026, this event is part of the third race in the series and promises an exhilarating downhill challenge.
Athletes are required to pre-register through BikeReg as there will be no on-site registration available. Join the Pro Downhill Series Athlete Channel on Whatsapp for updates and information; it's open to all athletes, staff, families, and interested parties alike.
The event kicks off with public access to Solitude Mountain’s Bike Park from 10 AM to 6 PM on Wednesday, July 15th. On Thursday, the schedule includes athlete check-in followed by a track walk for Pro and Cat 1/17-18 categories. Practice sessions are reserved only for these two classes.
Friday sees the park open until 6 PM with additional check-ins, practice runs across all categories, and seeding/qualifying runs specifically for Pros and Cat 1/17-18 racers. Saturday is packed with activities starting at 10 AM; Pro and Cat 1/17-18 athletes will compete in seeding runs while Group B competitors race through qualifying rounds before the finals.
The final day, Sunday, offers a full schedule from 10 AM to 6 PM, featuring practice sessions for Groups B and C as well as their respective Downhill Finals. Detailed schedules are coming soon; stay tuned!
Solitude Mountain Resort operates daily between 10 AM and 8 PM on Tuesday and Thursday, while other days run until 6 PM. Visitors should be aware of the resort’s strict policies: no dogs, camping or open fires, and a ban on gas or electric vehicles outside designated areas.
The venue is Solitude Mountain Bike Park located at 12000 Big Cottonwood Canyon Rd, Solitude, UT 84121. For more information, visit www.solitudemountain.com.

Competition rules follow USA Cycling guidelines with specific categories such as Pro, Cat 1 (divided by age), and Cat 2/3. Entry fees include access to track walks but require a valid lift ticket and number plate. Practice is organized into three groups: A for Pro and younger cat 1 racers; B for older cat 1 racers; C for all cats 2/3.
Prize purses are substantial, with first place in the Pro class earning $4000. Amateurs can look forward to plaques or medals on their podiums. Registration closes before June 21st at various rates depending on early sign-ups. Additional details and discounts for lodging and air travel are available.
Solitude Mountain Resort offers a special discount for athletes, but overnight camping is not permitted on the property. For more information, visit www.recreation.gov or similar sites nearby.
Parking will be free onsite with single-space availability only; multi-space racer pits and pop-up tents are prohibited in general parking areas. Tents can be set up in designated areas upon request.

About Solitude

Solitude Mountain Resort is a ski resort located in the Big Cottonwood Canyon of the Wasatch Mountains, thirty miles southeast of Salt Lake City, Utah. With 66 trails, 1,200 acres (4.9 km2) and 2,047 feet (624 m) vertical, Solitude is one of the smaller ski resorts near Salt Lake City, along with its neighbor Brighton. It is a family-oriented mountain, with a wider range of beginner and intermediate slopes than other nearby ski resorts; 50% of its slopes are graded "beginner" or "intermediate," the highest such ratio in the Salt Lake City area. Solitude was one of the first major US resorts to adopt an RFID lift ticket system, allowing lift lines to move more efficiently. It was followed by Alta Ski Area in 2007. Solitude is adjacent to Brighton Ski Resort near the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon. Solitude and Brighton offer a common "Solbright Pass" which provides access to both resorts for a nominal surcharge.
