Monster Energy Pro Downhill Series/National Champs - Snow Summit

About the Event

The Monster Energy Pro Downhill Series makes its way to the stunning Snow Summit Bike Park from July 22nd to 26th, 2026. This race serves as the fourth and penultimate leg of the five-race series for the year.
Participants should note that all categories will compete on the same advanced track but with alternative lines and "go-arounds" available. Cat 2/3 racers do not have mandatory features to navigate, adding a layer of flexibility to their route choices.
The event kicks off with public access to Snow Summit Bike Park from July 22nd onwards. Athletes are required to pre-register online via BikeReg for the series; there will be no on-site registration available.
A detailed schedule is already outlined and can be accessed at www.prodownhillseries.com, but highlights include practice sessions and qualification runs across various categories over the course of the week. Practice days are segmented into three groups: A (Pro classes, Cat 1 men/women 17-18), B (Cat 1 categories excluding 17-18 males), and C (Cat 2/3 categories).
Downhill finals will take place on July 25th for Pro and Elite categories only. The remaining dual slalom finals are scheduled for the final day, Sunday, July 26th.
The venue is located at Snow Summit Bike Park in Big Bear Lake, California, just off Summit Blvd (880). Registration fees vary based on category and are non-refundable but transferable once with a $20 fee. Amateur categories (CAT 2/3) have a cap of 150 participants, while Pro and Elite categories include substantial prize purses: first place in the downhill race earns a hefty $4000 for both men and women.
The track walk is included in the entry fees along with practice days, ensuring all athletes are familiar with the challenging terrain. Timing will be handled by Artiming to ensure accurate results.

Medical services will also be on-site during the event, with additional support from Bear Valley Community Hospital available if needed.
Snow Summit Bike Park remains open to the public throughout the week for those looking to experience the terrain before or after race days.
