Experience the breathtaking trails of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, at this year’s inaugural AACo Epic. Spanning across Bacon Ridge Natural Area, Annapolis Waterworks Park, and Crownsville Hospital Memorial Park, these diverse terrains offer a perfect blend of challenge and beauty for cyclists of all skill levels. Choose from three exciting ride options: the 20-mile Sampler with approximately 1750 feet of climbing, the 30-mile Sweet Spot featuring around 2800 feet of elevation gain, or the more ambitious 40-mile Sizzler with a staggering 3600 feet in climbs. Each route is marked by three aid stations to ensure you have all the support and fuel needed for your journey. Local bike shops are on hand to make sure everything runs smoothly. Family Bike Shop will be present at the start, ready to offer mechanical assistance and snacks. Meanwhile, Bike Doctor’s team of professionals will provide crucial support throughout the ride with their presence in three key aid stations. Annapolis Velo is leading a 20-mile group ride for those who prefer company. The courses are unmarked, so downloading routes onto your GPS device before you start is essential if you plan to go solo. But fear not—there will also be guided rides available for all three distances. More details on the group rides will be shared soon. Registration includes a downloadable route map and access to aid stations. Enjoy one meal ticket that can be exchanged at our guest food truck, along with two beverage tickets. Proceeds from this event go towards building, maintaining, and advocating for trails in Anne Arundel County. For those who need flexibility, full refunds are available until two weeks before the event. A 50% refund is granted up to July 9th at 5 PM; after that date, all sales become final. In case of cancellation due to adverse weather conditions, BikeReg’s Event Cancellation Refund Protection program will issue a refund. Join us on August 14th for what promises to be an unforgettable day of cycling and community spirit. Mark your calendars now as you prepare to explore the natural beauty that Anne Arundel County has to offer through this epic ride experience.
