Morton Borough 5K

Morton's Community Run offers an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for runners of all ages. Held along a scenic, closed course that measures exactly 3.1 miles, this race is designed to cater to both seasoned athletes and casual walkers.
Participants who secure their spot by September 27th will receive a complimentary t-shirt upon registration. Every finisher can look forward to receiving a well-deserved medal at the conclusion of the event. In addition to these incentives, top male and female runners will be recognized with special awards, while age-group winners in every category from 0-14 through to 75+ years old will also receive accolades.
The day kicks off at 9:00 am rain or shine, ensuring that the race proceeds regardless of weather conditions. The course is carefully marked and supported by over forty enthusiastic volunteers who are dedicated to keeping participants safe throughout their journey. With a generous time limit extending up until noon, runners can take their time and enjoy the scenic route without feeling rushed.
For families with younger children, there's also an exciting Kid’s Race following immediately after the main event, featuring a 0.2-mile course that concludes with books for all participants.
Post-race festivities include refreshments at Morton Borough Hall gym starting from around 10:30 am and culminating in an awards ceremony to celebrate everyone’s achievements. Costumes are encouraged and welcomed for both adults and children alike, adding a festive touch to the day's events.
Registration is available online or on-site at Morton Borough Hall gym where packets can be picked up either before race day (Thursday October 22nd from 7 pm onwards) or early on Saturday morning starting at 7 am. On-site registration costs $40 while pre-race sign-ups by October 23rd are priced at a more affordable $35.
All proceeds from the Morton Community Run will be used to support local initiatives, including purchasing Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and funding improvements for Parks and Recreation facilities within the community. Join us in celebrating health, fitness, and community spirit!
