MTC Bristol Severn 2026

Day 5 marks the final stretch of the challenging yet rewarding Severn Challenge. Runners will find this stage relatively flat compared to previous days, offering a smoother transition as they near the end of their journey.
The route begins by tracing the river once more through Purton before briefly veering away at Sharpness and Newton. The course then circles around the imposing Berkeley Power Station, showcasing industrial architecture alongside natural beauty. Afterward, runners return to the serene waters of the Severn River, passing through Oldbury-on-Severn, Oldbury Pill, and Littleton Pill.
As participants make their way southwards, they will pass beneath the towering M48 and M4 motorway bridges, an impressive feat for any runner. The day culminates at the mouth of the river where runners arrive at Severn Beach, marking not only a personal achievement but also the end of this remarkable five-day adventure along the iconic River Severn.
The final leg offers a blend of scenic beauty and urban infrastructure, providing a memorable finish to an unforgettable race.
