Event Logistics and Participant Information:

• Swimrun Format: An individual event where participants navigate a course alternating between swimming and running. Participants tend to swim with their shoes on and run in their swim gear – a unique concept.
• Wetsuits: Wearing wetsuits is optional. Any swimming (triathlon) wetsuit will work as long as you can move freely enough to run and stay warm on longer swims.
• Shoes: Must be comfortable for technical trail running, suitable for water use, snug-fitting (so they don't come off while swimming), with good drainage and excellent traction on slippery rocks.
• Swim Caps: Provided by the organizer (Canaqua Sports) and mandatory for all participants.
• Goggles: Essential for clear vision and open water sighting. Carrying a spare pair is recommended.
• Hand Paddles & Pull Buoys: Optional equipment. Paddles add power to your stroke; pull buoys provide buoyancy between the legs to save leg muscles for running. Train extensively before using paddles to avoid injury.
