About the Event

Kick off the New Year on January 9, 2027 with the AV Spirit's Mundo Nieuwjaarsloop. This year marks the 25th edition of this beloved race, offering participants two distance options: a scenic 10 km run or walk and a more manageable 5 km route.
The 10 km course is officially certified by the Atletiekunie, making it an ideal choice for those looking to compete seriously. It also forms part of the STARDGRL-circuit (Great Rivers Loop Circuit), adding extra excitement for competitors aiming to excel in this series. Whether you're a seasoned runner or prefer a leisurely walk, there's something for everyone at Mundo Nieuwjaarsloop.
The race day will see participants gather early in the morning with start times scheduled as follows:
- 9:00 AM: Both the 5 km and 10 km walks begin.
- 9:30 AM: The 5 km run starts, offering a shorter but still challenging option for runners.
- 11:30 AM: Participants in the competitive field will take off on their 10 km runs.
Participants can look forward to an atmosphere that combines community spirit with athletic competition. As part of AV Spirit's commitment to giving back, proceeds from this event support a charitable cause which will be announced throughout the year.
For more information and registration details, visit www.mundonieuwjaarsloop.nl or follow AV Spirit on Facebook. Any questions about the race can also be directed via email at woc-weg@avspirit.nl. Don't miss out on this opportunity to start your fitness journey in style!
