National Capital Pride Run 2026

About the Event

Experience the vibrant atmosphere of the National Capital Pride Run as it transforms the picturesque downtown area of Ottawa. The event begins at 10:00 AM on August 23rd with simultaneous starts for both a 5K run and a 2.5K walk, allowing participants to choose their preferred distance. Early registration closes on August 22nd.
Participants are encouraged to arrive early; bibs can be collected from August 20th to 21st at Ottawa City Hall between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM or on race day starting at 8:00 AM. Comfortable running gear, especially suitable for cooler weather conditions, is recommended as light rain might occur.
The run commences from Wellington Street near Parliament Hill, a scenic route that weaves through the heart of Ottawa's capital path. Enjoy stunning views and a strong sense of community pride throughout your journey. This event caters to both seasoned athletes and newcomers who wish to support local initiatives and celebrate inclusivity in Canada’s capital city.
A photo ID is required for participants; it’s advisable to arrive early enough to prepare adequately before the 10:00 AM start time. The National Capital Pride Run not only raises funds for Bruce House but also fosters a spirit of diversity, unity, and celebration amidst one of Ottawa's most picturesque locations.
