National Chocolate Day Run for Chocolates SAN ANTONIO
About the Event
Indulge in the joy and sweetness of The Chocolate Run – an unforgettable running experience for all ages and fitness levels. Lace up your shoes, bring along your sweet tooth, and get ready to enjoy a unique blend of fun and fitness. This charming event offers runners and walkers alike the chance to participate in a smaller-scale, private run that caters to every pace and age group (children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult). With no equipment required, you can focus on enjoying the atmosphere without any stress. Our dedicated coordinators will ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish. Timing your race is entirely optional; use a fitness app like Strava or RunKeeper if you wish to track your progress and submit it for posting online. Alternatively, our team members are always ready to assist with timing at no extra cost. The event doesn't feature traditional timing chips, ensuring that the focus remains on enjoying yourself rather than competing against others. Upon registration, participants receive a swag bag packed with goodies: - A running t-shirt mailed directly to your US address - A finisher’s towel or giveaway item - An exclusive finisher's medal - Access to digital training materials and an online certificate of completion Additionally, you'll be invited to join one of our local run clubs for ongoing support in your fitness journey. For a small upgrade fee, runners can opt for technical running shirts that are lightweight and moisture-wicking. There’s no need to worry about packet pickup; everything is sent straight to the address provided during registration. Race bibs will be handed out on race day itself. Shirts typically arrive at participants' homes one week before the event date, but last-minute registrants may receive theirs after running their chosen course. Each wave starts promptly and includes: - Wave A: 7:30 AM - Wave B: 8:00 AM - Wave C: 8:30 AM Latecomers are welcome to join the nearest available wave. Coordinators remain on-site for three hours after the initial start time, providing flexibility and support throughout. The Chocolate Run also offers a virtual run option, allowing participants to complete their race from anywhere at any convenient time. After submitting your results via email, you’ll receive all of the same rewards as those who join in person. For those looking to make an impact beyond just running, our charity initiatives ensure that every mile logged after the event translates into donations for worthy causes.
