Experience the vibrant atmosphere of the Navy Mid-South Half Marathon on Saturday, 26 September. The race kicks off early with a 5k run at 8 AM and a Family Fun Mile starting at 9 AM from N82 Gym located at 7915 Memphis Ave in Naval Support Activity Mid-South – Millington, TN. On Sunday, the event continues with two challenging races: the half marathon begins at 6 AM and the 10k follows just ten minutes later. Both start lines are set up at USA Stadium on Babe Howard Blvd. Participants will enjoy a comprehensive package that includes race entry, timing services, an official race shirt, goody bags, post-race refreshments, and of course, THE INCREDIBLE FINISHER MEDAL to commemorate your achievement. All proceeds from this event support the Naval Support Activity Mid-South Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) programs. These initiatives aim to enhance the quality of life for over 50,000 members of our local Navy Mid-South Military Family community. Millington is a city in Shelby County, Tennessee, United States, and is a part of the Memphis metropolitan area. As of the 2010 census, it had a population of 10,176. Millington was granted the title "Flag City Tennessee" by the Tennessee State Legislature. The Naval Support Activity Mid-South is located at the former Memphis Naval Air Station, whose function was changed in 1993 from a training base to an administrative one. There is also a general aviation airport that features the third longest runway in Tennessee.
