NCMC Turkey Trot

About the Event

The NCMC Turkey trot is brought to you by the Weld Legacy Foundation and the CardioVascular Institute of North Colorado. The race is open to participants of all ages and abilities and includes a 5K race on a scenic, USATF-certified 5K course and a 2K Gobler Trek fun run.

The CardioVascular Institute of North Colorado is committed to making a difference is the lives of those with heart and pulmonary disease. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs and provide financial assistance to patients who otherwise, would not be able to participate in the rehabilitation program.

The Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day Tradition for many families and one of the largest events in Northern Colorado. It's the perfect way to spend time with family and friends, promote cardiovascular and pulmonary health awareness and work off those pre-holiday treats!

Strollers are permitted on the race course, we just ask that you start behind our more competitive runners.

Due to limited space and many families with young children we kindly ask that you leave your furry friends at home.

About Greeley

Greeley is a city of about 110,000 in the north central region of the western U.S. state of Colorado. The seat of Weld County, the city lies 49 miles (79 km) north-northeast of Denver on the South Platte River, the historic route of the Pikes Peak Gold Rush of 1858-1861. The city was founded in 1870 by Nathan Meeker, who named it for Horace Greeley, editor of the New York Tribune and promoter of the Union Colony of Colorado. Greeley is the home of the University of Northern Colorado. The most well-known event in the town is the annual Greeley Independence Stampede, which attracts an estimated 400,000 attendees every summer.
