Nettlestone RAT Race

Experience the vibrant energy of Nettlestone Primary School's Road and Trail Race - Fun Run, set to take place once again in 2026. This beloved community event offers runners two challenging options: a scenic 5-mile course or a more accessible 5km route, both featuring captivating off-road sections that wind through the picturesque Solent coastline.
The race day begins with an engaging children's run of approximately 500 meters around the school grounds at 10:00 AM. This is followed by the main event starting promptly at 10:30 AM when participants embark on a circular route, splitting into their respective distances after a joint start.
Both courses offer runners stunning sea views along Seaview's shoreline and an array of diverse terrain that includes off-road trails, ensuring a memorable run for all levels. The race is meticulously organized with clear marshalling throughout the course to ensure safety and smooth navigation. A water station awaits at the finish line where participants can rehydrate after their efforts.
Upon crossing the finish line, every runner will be awarded a well-deserved medal as recognition of their achievement. Additionally, pre-registered runners have an automatic entry into a raffle draw for exciting prizes. The event also features refreshments available to both spectators and participants, providing a perfect opportunity for everyone to celebrate together in this family-friendly atmosphere.
