Experience the thrill of racing at NHMS, where every turn and elevation offers a unique challenge. Race dates are set for April 16th to September 3rd, with four distinct courses that cater to racers of all skill levels. Race Day begins early on race day as sign-ins open from 4:45pm to 5:30pm at the NHMS front gate. Be prepared to pay a $10 entry fee for adult participants and $5 for juniors or spectators, payable directly upon arrival. The infield opens at 5:15pm allowing racers time to warm up before the main event kicks off at precisely 6:00pm. NHMS offers three categories for competition: A, B, and C. Category A is designed for riders in Category 3 or above; however, Category 5 participants need prior permission from the race promoter to compete here. The B category welcomes experienced racers with considerable strength, while the more inclusive C field caters to new and slower riders alike. Newcomers are encouraged to join this welcoming series, which provides support for first-time participants through direct assistance during registration or by contacting the race director beforehand. NHMS ensures a safe environment by requiring all minors to have parental consent for participation in races and access to facilities. Weather conditions can impact race schedules; therefore, racers should stay informed via email notifications from Bikereg regarding any cancellations due to adverse weather. The courses vary each week: Magic Mile on April 16th and August 6th, Road Course throughout the season except when a different course is announced, Frontier on specific dates like May 28th and July 30th, or sometimes both Magic Mile and Frontier are run together. Photographs detailing these courses can be found at the bottom of this registration page. Each race presents unique challenges—ranging from the steep inclines in the Road Course to the technical corners in the Frontier course. The Magic Mile offers a fast-paced crit-style experience that has become a highlight for many participants. Participants should note that while no USA Cycling license is required, all riders must comply with USA Cycling helmet rules and are prohibited from using Aero Bars. For detailed information about each course, visit Strava segments linked on the registration page or NHMS’s official website. NHMS aims to provide an exhilarating racing experience for everyone, ensuring a memorable event that tests your skills while offering breathtaking views of their grounds. Whether you're a seasoned racer or new to competition, there's something here for every cyclist looking to push themselves and enjoy the camaraderie among fellow enthusiasts.
