About the Event

Welcome to Lake Milton MTB Trails & NEO Retreat Center, where adventure meets community. Nestled on 120 acres of breathtaking terrain, this year’s event promises an unforgettable experience for both seasoned and novice cyclists alike. The course is meticulously designed by the Rust Belt Revival Trail Coalition in collaboration with NEO Retreat Center, ensuring a perfect blend of challenge and beauty.
The race takes place rain or shine at NEO Retreat Center. Participants can reserve camping spots on Saturday night directly through NEO Retreat Center; remember that no alcohol will be permitted on this Christian retreat center property. Mark your calendars for an exciting day filled with competition and camaraderie.
Race enthusiasts are encouraged to preregister, as it significantly aids in the smooth operation of the event. Day-of registration is available but comes at a $10 surcharge after 6 PM Saturday evening, closing one hour before each race start time.
The course layout features 7.9 miles per lap with an elevation gain of 477 feet per loop. Spectacular views and challenging terrain await as you navigate through the trails. Registration opens at 9 AM on race day, providing ample time for last-minute preparations or socializing with fellow competitors.
Key events are scheduled to ensure a well-organized flow:
- Cat3 Jr Novice U19-U13 & Kids races begin promptly at 10 AM.
- The Cat1 categories will kick off their journey at noon.
- All remaining categories, including Cat2 and Cat3, follow close behind starting from 12:40 PM.
A special note for adaptive racers: Starting times may be adjusted to accommodate your needs. We prioritize a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants by staggering the start of Cat2 and Cat3 races after the completion of one lap by Cat1 and E-Bike categories, significantly reducing conflicts on the course.
Podium celebrations are scheduled from 2:30 PM to 3 PM, marking the conclusion of an exhilarating day. Whether you're a seasoned racer or just starting out, this event offers something for everyone in the MTB community.
USA Cycling Licenses and NOMBS Series Championship rules apply:
- USA Cycling licenses are required (not necessarily issued from Ohio).
- Riders must compete in the season finale race.
- Points are awarded based on best 5 races; if tied, the final race determines the winner.
