About the Event

Welcome to the Toledo Trail Challenge, where Michigan and Ohio riders meet for an unforgettable mountain bike race. Nestled along the Michigan border within downtown Toledo, this event offers a unique blend of competition and camaraderie, with participants from both states vying for top honors.
The Jermain Ottawa trail, often overlooked but boasting volunteer-maintained quality, serves as our course. This fast route presents an intriguing challenge, particularly in its narrow bridge section where racers must dismount to navigate safely under the bridge without passing others. Course marshals will ensure safety and fairness by marking dismount and remount points.
Weather conditions won’t deter us; this event is rain or shine! Participants can expect a thrilling course that tests both skill and endurance, making it an experience not to be missed.
Camping at the venue is available with limited spots for 20 cars/vans/small trailers. Enjoy brand new flush toilets and remember no fires are allowed in the camp area. Day-of registration will incur an extra $10 after 6 PM Saturday evening, closing just before race start times.
Race day begins early with a 9 AM opening for packet pickup and registration. The Cat 3 Jr Novice U19-U13 & Kids races kick off at 10 AM, followed by the main event starting from noon onwards. All categories are expected to conclude by 2:30 PM, ensuring a full day of racing action.
Adaptive racers will have their start times adjusted based on individual needs and preferences, with safety as our top priority. Race organizers aim to minimize conflicts between fast Cat 1 and electric bike riders while providing the best experience for all participants.
USA Cycling licenses are required for series championship eligibility, ensuring a structured competition environment. The Toledo Trail Challenge is part of the NOMBS Series Championship, offering opportunities to earn valuable points towards USA Cycling standings.
Join us at the City of Toledo Parks Department venue for an event that promises excitement and community spirit. Whether you're racing or spectating, this event will leave lasting memories.
