Nordiska Mästarnas Backyard Ultra

Nordic Masters Ultra Race, set to take place at Fyskompaniet Training Center on Rattens Gränd 1 in Bromölla, promises an unforgettable running experience for endurance athletes. The venue is conveniently located near the training center and features a mix of asphalt roads, grassy fields, steep paths, gravel tracks, and even wooden bridges over small streams.
The race course has been meticulously designed to offer runners approximately 81 laps around a diverse terrain that includes 2530 meters of asphalt, 152 meters of grass, 1301 meters of steps or slopes, 2700 meters of gravel paths and dirt roads, and a short but challenging wooden bridge spanning just 23 meters. The course is marked with reflective tape for better visibility in low light conditions and includes clear signage to guide runners through any potentially confusing sections.
As the event approaches its conclusion at the end of September, organizers will decide whether the race takes place outdoors on asphalt or inside a large storage facility under a big tent. Regardless of where it’s held, start and finish lines are set up outside for easy access by all participants.
Runners can expect an energizing station throughout the event stocked with water, sports drinks, snacks, meals like pancakes after 14 laps, lunch at lap 20, a late-night snack at lap 35, breakfast from Sunday morning to noon, and additional refreshments as needed.
The training center offers spacious changing rooms close by for both men and women equipped with showers and saunas. Public restrooms are also available near the start area in portable facilities that can be accessed before or after starting your run.
Registration opens at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 3rd, marking the beginning of an epic journey through Bromölla's autumn landscape. The finish line festivities commence once every runner completes their final lap, culminating with a celebratory meal for all participants and spectators alike.
For those traveling from afar, accommodations are available at nearby hotels such as Iföhus (1.3 km away) or the cozy Bromölla Camping & Vandrarhem (0.8 km). Spectators can cheer on runners from the start line area or enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere along Käsebron and the northern section of Kungsleden.
