North Andover 4th Of July Road Race

Experience the vibrant atmosphere of North Andover as you participate in its storied 46th annual Fourth of July Road Race. This year, the event is set to kickoff on Saturday, July 4 at 8:00 AM from the historic Old Town Common.
The race offers a unique blend for both seasoned runners and newcomers alike with two exciting options: a challenging 5K course and an engaging Kids Fun Run designed especially for young participants. The first 1,000 finishers of the 5K will receive commemorative medals, while the top three male and female competitors will vie for coveted awards.
For kids aged 8 to 12 years old, there's a fun-filled .6-mile course starting from the Old Center Common around North Andover’s charming historical sites. The race concludes at the starting line, offering participants an opportunity to celebrate with their families after completing this family-friendly event.
Race shirts will be provided for the first 600 registrants of the 5K and Kids Fun Run, ensuring everyone is dressed in festive attire as they run through North Andover’s picturesque streets. Race packets can also be picked up on July 3 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the North Andover Youth Center.
The course for the 5K takes runners through Massachusetts Avenue before heading into the heart of Old Center, where they will ascend Johnson Hill and then descend Marbleridge Road. The route continues past the cemetery on Salem Street, looping back towards the finish line near the North Andover Historical Society. The Kids Fun Run follows a shorter but equally scenic path around the Common.
Online registration closes at 12:00 PM on July 3, with race number pickup and in-person registration available from 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM both on July 3 and directly before the event day. Participants must pay by cash or check during these times.
