North Downs Way 100®

The NDW100, now celebrating its 16th year, is an epic trail run stretching across the North Downs Way from Farnham in Surrey to Ashford in Kent. This grueling yet breathtaking journey covers a distance of 100 miles and must be completed within 30 hours. The race offers runners a unique opportunity to traverse some of England's most picturesque landscapes, with dramatic climbs and serene valleys along the way.
The event kicks off in Farnham, nestled amidst rolling hills and ancient woodlands. From there, participants wind through charming villages like Puttenham before reaching Guildford, where urban charm meets rural beauty. The trail then ascends to Ranmore Common, a high point offering panoramic views of Surrey’s lush countryside. A challenging climb up Box Hill awaits runners next, followed by the descent down its steep slopes and an ascent back up Reigate Hill.
As the race progresses, the route takes in more villages such as Merstham and Oxted before reaching Knockholt Pound at 50 miles, marking a significant milestone on the outskirts of Greater London. The second half continues through Wrotham and Holly Hill, crossing the historic Medway Bridge en route to Kent.
The final stretch sees runners traveling southeast towards Dover, with most of the journey covered on scenic trails that weave around villages like Detling, Hollingbourne, Harrietsham, and Charing. This section provides a mix of woodland paths and open fields leading up to Ashford and its finish line at the Julie Rose Stadium.
