North Texas Ultra

RACE OVERVIEW

The North Texas Ultra is a 5K, 10K, 25K, 50K, 52 Miler, 100K run & 25K RUCK held on Fort Richardson State Park's Trailway in the foothills of North Texas. Featuring an open, scenic, historical, and paved with soft fine gravel. The race follows a 15.5-mile out & back course beginning and ending at the North Park Unit. This is one of the fastest ultra marathon courses in Texas! Price Increases Early Bird (March 31 through November 5) Standard (November 6 through January 22) Late Registration (January 23, if not sold out)

Texas Ultra Series

This series spans all across Texas. All the finisher medals from each race combine to make the Lone Star of Texas. (see 'website' for pictures of the finisher medals) You can save 20% on the 2027 Texas Ultra Series by registering for a Series Pass The Top 7 Males and Top 7 Females that run the farthest distance of a Texas Ultra race will qualify for the Big Texas Ultra 100K Championship near Austin TX for a chance to win thousands of dollars and the Big Texas Ultra Champion Title.

- Surface: Soft fine gravel, open wide trail. - Course: Lost Creek Reservoir State Trailway Course Map - Elevation: Relatively flat with gains and loss of 550ft every 15.5M loop. - Location: Fort Richardson State Park - North Park Unit - Weather: Historic Average 35-60 degree mid-February weather. - Pacer: Pacers are allowed on the last 2 loops of the 100K, last 2 loops of the 52M, and last loop of the 50K. The start and finish are located at the North Park Unit of Fort Richardson State Park. (134 trailway drive, Jacksboro, TX 76458) Friday @Start/Finish Early Packet Pickup - 5PM to 6PM Saturday @Start/Finish Packet pickup & drop bags - 5:00AM to 7:15AM 6AM - 100K Starts 5:30AM - Shuttle Starts (50K, 25K, 10K, & 5K PARKING PIN ) 7AM - 50K & 52M Starts (and drop bags ship to twin lakes aid station) 7:30AM - 5K, 10K, & 25K RUN & RUCK Starts 4PM - Shuttle Ends Sunday Cutoff - 3:00 AM (20 Hours) RUCK: Weight requirements - If you weigh more than 150 lbs = 30 lb. Ruck - If you weigh less than 150 lbs = 20 lb. Ruck RUCK SACK OR VEST ARE ALLOWED

OUTLAW MEMBERSHIP

Most runners who do one Outlaw race end up doing several a year. If you already know this won’t be your last, check out Outlaw Membership . Pay once, get race credits you can use on eligible Outlaw events all year, plus member‑only perks and priority access on select races. You still register through RunSignup/UltraSignup like normal, but members use special codes at checkout so their entries are covered. If you’re planning 3 or more races this season, it usually pays for itself on your way to the start line.
