Northfield Rotary Bike Tour

Experience the vibrant charm of Northfield during its annual Defeat of Jesse James Days celebration with the Northfield Rotary Bike Tour. This fully supported cycling adventure offers both road and gravel routes, perfect for families and seasoned cyclists alike.
The bike tour kicks off at Memorial Park, home to the Dundas Dukes Ballpark on 214 1st Street in Dundas, Minnesota. From there, it’s a pleasant 3.5-mile ride into Northfield's heart, where you can explore quaint local businesses, enjoy delicious food and beverages, or simply soak up the festivities.
Registration begins at 6:30 am with on-site check-in available right at Memorial Park. Your entry fee includes access to rest stops along your chosen route, featuring portable toilets, water, and snacks. For a comfortable start and finish experience, enjoy flushable toilets at the park itself—a perfect spot for post-ride refreshments.
Parking is conveniently located in designated lots around the park or on nearby residential streets. Please be mindful of local residents by parking responsibly—no overnight stays are permitted within the park boundaries.
Post your ride, you can grab a token to sample concessions and perhaps treat yourself to a Chapel Brew beer starting at 10:30 am. SAG vehicles will provide support along all routes for any cyclists in need, ensuring everyone completes their journey safely and with ease.
For an added touch of luxury, pre-order breakfast from Raven's Nest Cafe before your tour begins. Place your order during registration to pick up a delicious meal at the ballpark. Additionally, receive a 20% discount on future purchases at this local favorite, conveniently located behind Farmstead Bike Shop. While you enjoy your ride, let them store your bike for free in their downtown location.
This year marks new opportunities with pre-order breakfasts and commemorative t-shirts available to purchase ahead of time. Routes will be well-stocked with full-service aid stations, though specific details may vary due to ongoing road construction projects.
The Northfield Rotary Bike Tour has been a staple event since 1995, fully volunteer-run and 100% dedicated to supporting local and international service projects. Funds raised benefit initiatives promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, and strengthening economies both locally and globally.
Families can join in the fun with the Family Fun Ride—a six-mile route offering a bike rodeo, free custard from Culvers, lunch vouchers, and snack breaks for kids. Completing your Rotary Passport at each stop will earn you special prizes upon return to the park.
