Novo mesto 1/2 marathon

On November 15, 2026, the bustling provincial capital of Novo Mesto will host the eighth edition of its Half Marathon. Nestled in the heart of Dolenjska region, this vibrant city offers a unique blend of rich archaeological heritage and stunning natural beauty along the banks of the Krka river.
The event features three official race distances: 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km, all measured to IAAF standards. The half marathon route covers an impressive distance of 21.1 kilometers with a minimal elevation gain of just 102 meters, making it ideal for both competitive athletes and recreational runners looking for a challenging yet manageable course.
The shorter distances provide excellent opportunities as well: the 5 km race shares its initial four kilometers with the half marathon route before branching off to create an engaging experience in itself.
