Off the Beaten Path 3K and 6K Trail Race

Runners will experience the tall grass prairie, woodlands, and maybe even some wildlife! In addition, grass surfaces will cushion the strides of each runner. Immediately following the events, snacks and refreshments will be served and prizes will be awarded. Proceeds from the trail race will serve to benefit the natural resources and sustainability of Jasper County through the help of our non-profit group, Jasper Conservation Connection.

 THE EVENT- "Off the Beaten Path" trail race and fun run/walk will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Jacob Krumm Nature Preserve, Jasper County Iowa; beginning at 9:00 a.m. (8:00-8:45 Registration at Ahrens Access).

AWARDS- The first, second, and third place winners of each of the age categories for the 6K and 3K race will receive awards. Categories are: 14 and younger, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. In addition, other great prizes will be drawn for following the race.

DIRECTIONS- Take I-80 to the Lynnville/Oakland Acres exit 179, go north about ½ mile and then turn east on Jacob Ave and follow the signs. A map of Jacob Krumm Preserve may be downloaded at: www.jaspercountyconservation.com

ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION- The Jasper Conservation Connection is a non-profit group that operates under the umbrella of the Jasper Community Foundation.
