Join us for the highly anticipated 4th Annual Run to Church at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church on Saturday, August 29, 2026. This year’s event celebrates not only the spirit of community but also marks a significant milestone as it commemorates the church's 75th Anniversary. The day kicks off with two race options: a family-friendly Fun Run and a competitive USATF-certified 5K. Both races welcome participants of all ages, from young children to seasoned runners. The event promises an inclusive atmosphere where everyone can enjoy running or walking through scenic Brookhaven streets. Strollers are permitted for the comfort of parents with small children, but pets must remain at home this year due to safety concerns on race day. After crossing the finish line, participants will be invited to stay and celebrate their achievements during a festive awards ceremony. The event continues with exciting activities in the kids’ area where young ones can enjoy games and face painting while adults unwind with refreshments provided by generous sponsors. Registration for both races is now open until August 16th when you’ll have the chance to secure your preferred t-shirt size. After this date, shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. For those interested in supporting Our Lady of the Assumption’s mission further, sponsorship opportunities are also available through our "Sponsor The Race" program. Your contribution can help ensure that proceeds from the event benefit OLA's St Vincent de Paul Society, which provides essential financial assistance to neighbors facing hardship. Come join us for a day filled with fun and community spirit at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church on August 29th! Join now by clicking "Register" or explore sponsorship options under "Sponsor The Race."

About Atlanta
Learn more about the host city, Atlanta.
Atlanta is the vanguard of the New South, with the charm and elegance of the Old. It's a city that balances southern traditions with sleek modernism, and southern hospitality with three skylines and the world’s busiest airport. It's a city that has been burnt to the ground and built back up; seen the horrors of war; felt the pain of droughts and floods; and given birth to Martin Luther King, Jr., the greatest figure of the civil rights movement. Atlanta is the capital of the state of Georgia.
