On Fire For Our Fighters 5K

On September 19, 2026, lace up your running shoes for the third installment of the "On Fire For Our Fighters" 5K Run/Walk at Lafayette Fire Department Station #5 and McCaw Park. This family-friendly event benefits the Lafayette Fire Support Foundation by raising funds to support local firefighters.
The race route weaves through scenic Munger Trail, Munger Park, and the picturesque McCaw Park, offering participants a delightful mix of urban landscapes and natural beauty. Whether you're an avid runner or prefer walking at your own pace, everyone is welcome to join in this heartwarming community event.
Race day registration opens from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM, with the race starting promptly at 9:00 AM. After crossing the finish line, stick around for awards and refreshments while enjoying the morning activities at McCaw Park's playground or pickleball courts.
Early packet pick-up is available on Friday, September 18th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Lafayette Fire Department Headquarters (20 N. 6th St., Lafayette, IN). Race day parking will be provided at both McCaw Park and Lafayette Fire Station #5.
Registration fees are $30 before race day or $40 on the morning of September 19th. To ensure you receive a commemorative event shirt, register by Friday, September 11th at noon; additional shirts may still be available for later registrants while supplies last.
Competitors can look forward to first-place awards in both male and female categories overall as well as age-specific divisions: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. For more information or questions about the event, please contact Allison Everett at ajeverett@lafayette.in.gov.
